hi,
im a year 12 student and I have an Acer swift laptop. I’ve had it for about 3 years now and over the past year, its been acting up. The charging cable is a bit loose and it runs out of power very quickly.
This morning I was using it, it was connected to its power cable and I also used a hdmi cable to attach it to a big screen. Suddenly, it just switch off and powered down. I tried turning it back on and it said Critical Low battery and I replugged the cable and tried to secure it but it still won’t turn on. There is no flashing light on the side that is orange or blue.
I pressed the power button for 15 seconds and held it down but it still didn’t work. I used a paper clip to press the battery reset button and that didn’t work either. What do I do???
I’m a bit worried because I was working on a very important assignment when it shut down and I have my final exams in two days.

    Hi @zaynabalam,

Did you try with different charger.

Unfortunately that sounds either like a defective charger or a bad charging port. As suggested you can try a different charger, but also maybe take a picture of the port close up and post it here. We might be able to determine if there's any damage there.
