My school just purchased Acer Spin 5 Chromebooks, but did not provide a stylus with these for use in tablet mode.

We have discovered that we can use a blunt stylus or an active stylus, but both require us to write/draw without letting our hands touch the screen as the screen does not recognize the difference between hand and stylus.

The Acer website shows that the Acer Active Stylus Pen, Silver, ASA630 is compatible with the Spin 5.

What I want to know is if this stylus has a setting to eliminate hand touch sensitivity so that I can rest my hand on the screen while I am writing?

    LizFiedler,

    If you like to use Stylus you can go with it and it will not affect your fingure touch on the screen both will work.

    Some Spin 5 models support an active stylus, some do not. What is the full model number? It should be something like CP5xx-xxx-xxxx.

    I don't have the full model # now, but I can check.
    An active stylus works, though. What I want to know is if it offers something like the iPad/Apple Pencil "palm rejection" feature?

    I can't look it up without knowing the model number. There are hundreds of different Spin 5 models.

    @billsey,

    Here is what I found on my chromebook:

    R841T series
    Model No. N20Q4

    Sorry it took so long. It was a busy week at school.

    I don't have a cross reference for those types of numbers. I expect yours is a CP513-1H-xxxx, but am not positive. The CP number should be on the sticker under the laptop.
