Hi guys,

I've just spent 2 days trying to find a solution to this problem, but so far nothing has worked.
I am trying to connect my Nitro AN715-51 to my mobile phone's hotspot to get online but it keeps saying 'unable to connect to the network'.

I have of course not double but triple checked the correct mobile hotspot password, tried to update the WIFI card drivers, I have even reinstalled the whole Windows, yet, the problem persists.
I have tried 3 different mobile phones and 2 different carriers but no success.
I have gone to a service centre and in the end we managed to connect through a USB WIFI adapter, so the I'm half way there.

It's really weird how come this laptop won't connect to a mobile hotspot as my other 2 laptops - one is about 5 years old (Win10) and the other is just 1 year old - both connect to the same mobile hotspot with no issues whatsoever.

If there is a super user or a pro who knows the solution to this frustrating issue, I'd be super grateful if you let me know.

Thank you! :)

Hi, thank you for the reply. It was the Intel AC-9162 driver. After I had given up I had tried one more thing (somehow came up with it as the last resort) - selecting the driver manually from Device Manager -> 'THE WIFI ADAPTER NAME' -> Update Driver -> Browse my computer for drivers -> Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer -> and there was the correct one displayed! If I clicked just Update Driver -> Browse -> and selected the folder with the WIFI driver that way, it wouldn't work - it always picked the wrong driver for some reason.
After all this I could connect to my mobile phone's hotspot without any further issues.

What WiFi/BT card is in your AN715-51 that you are talking about? Give us the exact model number, is it the Intel 9560 or the Killer? As connecting a laptop to a mobile phone's hotspot is not a complicated thing and is your smartphone an Android or an Apple?
