Black and white lines on the screen when starting Swift 3

Hi!

Every time I turn the computer on, there are black and white lines on the screen for a second before signing in. It hasn't done that before. I think it's some kind of error sign, because after these lines started to show up, my computer has freezed totally ones and some days has been very slow. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Hi Tiina,

Try to do power drain,

1. Shutdown the unit.
2. Unplug the cables connected to the unit.
3. At bottom of the unit there will be a small tiny pin hole with a battery symbol close to it. Take a pin or a paper clip insert into it you feels like pressing a button hold it for 20-30 seconds.

Take a photo of the symptoms and post it here so we can see what's going on. Does the Acer logo show up fine? Are the lines before or after the logo? Do they show up before or after the juggling balls?

Billsey: If the lines come back, I will take a photo of them. I'm not sure if they were before or after Acer logo, but if I have the same problem later, I will check that then.

Hi, my pc is also experiencing kind of same issue. I have Acer Swift 3. It randomly starts flashing white screen with black bars and then when the screen comes back it has white or black vignette all around. Sometimes the screen dies and doesn't come back. I

Which Swift 3 model do you have? There are lots and lots of different ones...
