I have been trying to connect an external display to my Acer Aspire 5 laptop. I could successfully connect with my TV using an HDMI connector, but no signal is showing up when I use it with my display. I downloaded and installed the latest drivers and windows update, but nothing changed. I installed an Intel Graphics command center, which detects my external display, but can't connect with it. Can anyone help me with this problem? I have shared what is showing up in the command center

>>>I'm sure that I have changed into HDMI in my monitor>>>How did you make sure it isn't on VGA input? Is this your monitor?

Guys...Thank you for all your suggestions, and finally, I came to a solution!!
I had one of these MF's lying around my shelf, which I used for connecting my RPI with my old monitor which only had a VGA connector.
Now, this is an HDMI to VGA converter, and I thought this thing would be dead by now, but to my surprise, this thing worked very well!!
Thank you everyone for spending your precious time on my question. Have a nice day0 -
Guys, at last, I could figure out the solution. The graphics driver which was given for my laptop didn't support my Zebronics Monitor. I recently got a graphics driver update from Intel and now the problem is solved!0

@Leostat Bro, I have tried that, it didn't worked. I could do that with my TV, but it's not working with my monitor 🥲0

How strange, what montior are you connected to and how? Its not something like the monitor is on another input is it ive done that one before"!1

@LeostatI'm using a Zebronics 18.5" Monitor. I think you haven't heard of this company, but this one is a bit famous in our area. It have both VGA and HDMI connector, I'm using HDMI connection with my Laptop. I'm sure that I have changed into HDMI in my monitor, because I have also heard about that in the internet.
I don't know what is the issue, looks like I need to install linux for using dual screens😒0 -

@creativebrain
What operating system that you have?
The reason I asked is because this kind of issue happened to one of my Win 10 Enterprise OS, not happened to Win 10 Pro or Win 10 Home.0 -
@ttttt I'm not sure. I got it preinstalled when I bought my Acer Aspire 5. I'm not sure which type Windows OS it is. I will update it

@JackE I meant that that is my monitor. But mine have both VGA and HDMI in it. I clicked on the menu button on my monitor, and changed the Input mode into HDMI.0

@creativebrain
I would assume it to be Win 10 Home, as most of the Aspire 5 come with that.
Just go to Control Panel->System and Security->System and you can see that.
Have you clicked the "Detect" button with that Intel "Connected Displays" page?
Anyhow, I believe this is a graphics driver problem. The last time I had the problem using both Win 10 updates and Intel "Driver and Support Assistant" could not solve it.
Since I used both Win 10 Home and Win 10 Enterprise on the same PC for dual booting, I had the Enterprise version update graphics adapter driver by searching from the Home version drive and got the driver updated properly and then problem resolved.
Your case may be little different, hope this can help you a little.

@ttttt I think what you have told me to try is, to install the graphics driver of Windows 10 Enterprise mode in my Windows 10 Home mode. If that is the case, then from where will I get this enterprise mode Graphics adapter? Whenever I try to google out "Intel Iris Xe graphics driver for Windows 10 Enterprise mode", I'm getting the same thing that I have installed before. What should I do now? I'm so confused0

Wait! What Zebronic port is other end of cable connected to in the image?

@JackE That is the VGA port. I have used HDMI to VGA adapter.0

No. What Zebronics input port are you using? The soiled white adapter looks like a simple VGA extender, not an HDMI-to-VGA adapter. The loose black plug looks like the Zebronics HDMI input plug.

@JackE Sorry for the late comment, but here is the link for the Graphics Driver
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html
You can download and install the software from here. Whenever you need an update for the Intel Iris Xe Graphics.1 -
Thanks for reporting back on this. Zebronics seems to be popular over there so this might come in handy for other users.
