Greetings! I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52-50WX (2018). The specs are: Intel Core i5 8300H, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 4GB, 1TB HDD, 12 GB RAM (was originally 4GB but I added 8 more GB). To be honest, the laptop has a really poor startup speed and I feel that starting apps/exploring/opening documents and files are super slow comparing to my other laptops that has SSD. So I decided to add another drive but with an SSD. I am new to all these tech stuffs so I'm sorry if I sound stupid.

- I don't know if I could actually add a SSD to the laptop, and make that SSD drive the main drive (AKA C Drive, where windows is installed in that SSD Drive), while also having the 1TB HDD, because I -  really need storage and I don't want to replace the drive or remove it or something.
- If yes, can I just buy a normal 128GB SSD drive? I don't want to spend so much for the SSD because all I need is speed, and not storage. I am not going to store anything in the SSD Drive, and everything will be in the HDD.

Thanks in advance! Stay Safe yall

Yes, you can add another m.2 SSD in your laptop. After installing the SSD, you can reinstall a new Windows on the SSD or clone from the HDD to the SSD.
Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!
