Hello, I bought an Acer predator PH315-53 laptop two months ago and it is my first computer. Therefore, I barely know anything about how bios work. A few weeks ago, while my laptop was idle, I checked the stats on the PredatorSense app and noticed the CPU temperature jumping from 45 to 80°C in a manner of seconds then jumping back down, a if the sensors were giving out wrong readings because clearly the computer was cold to the touch. The thing is the fans start running according to the readings and therefore have started to constantly run at around 3000-4000rpm. The noise is bearable while gaming, but I can't imagine bringing such a loud laptop to my uni starting in september.
I've tried downloading several fan control programs, but seeing as every time I wouldn't get the same display as the tutorials (the parts where I'm supposed to configure my fans are blank), I can only guess they aren't compatible with my laptop. I checked that nothing is running in the background with task manager, and sometimes, after a whole 20mins of running at 4k rpm the fans will slow down for no apparent reason then start back up. The manual fan control in PredatorSense doesn't allow me to reduce fan speed, and I'm so lost. I'm young and don't know much about computers and would be very thankful for any help.
