Unable to undervolt po3-630 with i7-11700f?

I am really starting to regret this purchase. I downloaded throttlestop to try and undervolt the cpu a little bit. Even with the Noctua-U9S I still am getting between 70-80 on the cpu... while that is much better than 100c I still want it to stay cooler than that since I clearly have no ability to adjust this cpu fan curve yet. Am I also not able to undervolt? Because when I go to the settings with throttlestop it seems to be a grayed out and not letting me do anything with it.

If you read some reviews of that CPU, it does run hot. But 70 - 80C while gaming at full tilt is pretty good. Please keep in mind that the case is small and has only three 92mm fans (out of which the case fans are almost blocked with plastic and mesh). Since your CPU isn't temperature throttling anymore you should be happy.

Unfortunately undervolting your CPU may not be possible on that motherboard.

You can lower temps at the cost of performance, which I don't recommend. Go to Windows Power Options, Advanced settings, Processor power management, Maximum processor state 100 => 99. If you do this, the CPU doesn't boost as high anymore. My 10400F (6c/12t), which normally can hit 4GHz, topped out at 2,8GHz after the change. But the stress temps were low!

One way to lower CPU temps by few degrees is to undervolt your GPU with MSI Afterburner. RTX 3070 with its flow-through cooler design pushes some of the hot air directly in front of CPU cooler. But even if you managed to run your GPU 10 - 15C cooler, that would only lower the CPU temp by few degrees. Nevertheless I'd still recommend undervolting and overclocking your GPU. Youtube has many good tutorials how to do it.

Thanks mate! I actually saw you post this on another forum to reduce it down from 100 to 99 haha. It definitely worked wonders on my temps. A bit of a sacrifice for performance in certain games but that is okay for now. I tend to over worry about temps even when 70-80 is more than normal and optimal. But being a student abroad I tend to be extra safe for the money I spend :D ill prob turn on the turbo again and just be comfortable with the 70-80 temps :)

I did also work with my gpu :) gets no higher than 65c which is absolutely wonderful! But at the end of the day I will de get rid of this board case and psu so I can have more freedom haha.
