Trying to upgrade my graphics card so my grandson and I can play ARK Survival.  I have the motherboard and graphics report via speccy here:

What is the best possible graphics card I can get into this beast, given I have very little clearance in the PCI-e case.  The graphics card will need a small profile and cannot be a double slotted card?

I'm open to any and all recommendations.

With the restrictions  that you have, I  think a low profile  GT 1030 should be a good choice for you. It is significantly faster than the GT 730.

Go do a little bit more research on it before committing.

Yes, your system came originally with Windows 8, so it's a UEFI boot system. That means there's no problem with putting in any of the newer cards, as long as you have power. Your system comes with a 220W Mini-ITX / FLEX ATX PSU in order to fit the thin case. It's a bit of a challenge but it's possible to replace the 220W with a slightly bigger supply, but you really can't go big enough to support the newest cards. The 1030 should work but you would have to bump the supply side up before you could go any newer.

The OEM GPU for your XC=6-5 is the GeForce GT-730 that requires a suggested PSU of 200W, your upgrade will be restricted by your power supply if you don't update the PSU and that is to a GPU card that can run on 220W power. The XC-605's OEM PSU is a 220W FLEX  form factor PSU which is used to provide compact power flexibility for small computer cases so you can't use any other type of PSU's. 

As your XC-605 has a 1x PCI Express x1 slot and a 1x PCI Express x16 slot  and a 1x Mini-PCIe (halfsize) slot you are restricted to what GPU that you can upgrade to, my suggestion and as is suggested above, is for you to upgrade to a card like the GeForce GTX-1030 2GB that will be perfect for your OEM PSU.
