My ASPIRE E 15'E-5-575 bluetooth stopped working suddenly, and I haven't been able to make it work

Hi!

A couple of days back the Bluetooth from my laptop stopped working; I tried reinstalling the two drivers available for download on the driver page of my E-5-575G-75MD but nothing.

In the device manager, there is an error for an Unknown USB Device (Port_#0005.Hub_#0001) I also tried pointing the driver update to the two drivers I downloaded from the model's support page, but they are not recognized either.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Open Control Panel. Search "restore point". Click 'create a restore point' in left pane. If System Protection is turned on in the box that pops up, click System Restore button. Click next. Do you see an automatic restore point with a date stamp a couple days back?

    Hi @JackE !

Thanks for the reply, today, out of the blue it started working again; I think it might have been related to a Windows Update glitch. I'm a window's beta tester, so maybe it was an unstable version that was mended within days.

    Thanks again for helping out!

Thanks for revealing that. Even the regular updates cause glitches exactly like this. Did it or any subsequent updates leave any automatic restore points?

Yes, but only the one that fixed the issue; I created an extra restore point and increased the storage available for restore points because they were not being created regularly. Thank again for the help!
