Why does the ctrl key wear off with Acer Nitro 5 laptops?

I have owned 2 Acer Nitro 5 latops and they are really great laptops (which is why I purchased the second one). However, with both of them I have had the same problem and it drives me crazy: After a few months of using the laptop, the left ctrl key wears off. And with the second one (my current one), the key actually broke in half!

None of the other keys on the keyboard have this issue even though I use them just as much, just the Ctrl key. I do near full-time development work, so it is quite intensive use of the keyboard but I don't expect it to wear and break so fast (it starts wearing within the first month or two and it broke after 4-5 months of use). And no, I don't "pound" the keyboard. ;)

The two laptop models are: Nitro 5 AN515-43 64-bit and Nitro 5 AN515-44 64-bit

Is this a defect with Nitro 5 laptops? Since I am still within the year warranty (for the second one), how can I get the broken key replaced? (I hope this doesn't mean I have to send the laptop in to get the broken key replaced because it is my work laptop and I don't have another to use, at the moment...)

Below are screenshots of the two laptops.

    Hello,

This can be replaced in warranty so no other choice you have except send unit to local service where they will replace whole top cover with including keyboard.
