Looking for an extension for the DC end of the power cable.

Hello all.  I am trying to find a way to extend the DC end of the power cable.  I see extension cables for all sorts of those cables except for the one Acer uses (5.5x1.7).  The reason behind this is that I need to be able to get the power converter in the cable out of sight in my cable management system.  I have seen the 5.5x1.7 conversion to USB C, can I use that and eliminate the power cable all together?  I only need 6’ - 10’ extra.  I am running dual Predator X34’s.  Thanks in advance.

Which monitor do you have? Are you sure it's 5.5x1.7 or could it be 5.5x2.1?

I have 2 Predator X34 PBMIPHZX.  Everything I have looked up says it’s 1.7 but I would love to be proven wrong as I see a lot of 2.1 that would solve my problem.  It almost seems like every Acer product uses that 1.7.

It looks like you are right, the X34P models all use a 1.7mm center post. You could do a converter cable that allows use of a 5.5x2.1mm supply on the monitor.

Yeah I have seen those converters but I still think I would need that one and an opposite of that (1.7 female to 2.1 male) to make it all work?

You would have to have the cable, which gives you the barrel connector to fit the monitor, and either a replacement power supply or an adapter to reverse the change. It shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement power supply with the 2.1mm hole. Or ... you could use an extension cord on the AC side.
