Aspire 5 a515-43 My CPU is stuck at 1.3ghz

It's been stuck at that frequency ever since i replaced the ssd. I put back in the old one and it's still slow i reinstall windows and it's still slow.

    It might help if you could reveal your full model number. For example, E5-576G? Or ES1-522? Or A715-22? There are hundreds of ACER laptop models.

    Did you re-install generic Windows version using Microsoft media creation tool? Or did you re-install the ACER factory Windows version from the hidden factory recovery partition on the original drive? There can be significant differences between the two versions because of the proprietary ACER mainboard.

    What recovery drive?  Where did you get it?

    Was it partial system refresh while trying to save personal data? Or a full erase-everything factory reset?
