I've been using my laptop since I bought it, like two weeks ago. Yesterday I had to move to another city, 7 hours in a bus. I carried my laptop in my backpack, over my legs the whole trip. Since I turned it on today, it started making a weird sound randomly (here a record https://youtu.be/tv9O6m3PYBc). It happens at any moment, and nothing else occurs, the laptop works fine.

The laptop makes the sound even when it is turned off. I opened it and unplugged the battery and it keeps making it. Do you have any idea of what could it be?

Update: it kept making this sound during the night. It seems to follow a pattern, every 10-11 minutes it sounds. It doesn't matter if the laptop is on or off.

I have the impression that the fans have been turned on and off. Go to power options and disable hibernation, sleep and fast startup. Then check if the problem still occurs. If the problem still occurs, check the bios version.

    Hi freudo,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.
