Hey guys, so im not holding out for recieving any help since this device is so old but after googling and not finding a result imma give it a try at least.

So I have this old computer/tablet the Iconia W510 that stopped working a few years back and I forgot about it, but dug it out now and it just baffles me what problem it might have and how to fix it.

Anyways lets get to it, so the keyboard does not work as in not responding at all, I can power it on but then nothing works, not the keyboard, not touching the screen, nothing..So one might think "okay so its frozen" I thought so too but the clock on the screen is moving as in its telling time so its not frozen(?) the mystery continues as the windows button in the middle of the screen seems to work fine as in vibrating it when pressed..

Regardless I've tried the power down volume up buttons trick but nothing happens so what should I do? Anyone hold any tips i'll be grateful :)

Thanks in advance.

So a few things happen while powering one up. You should get either an Acer splash screen or POST messages, followed by the Windows juggling balls (unless it's running Windows 8 where it's have the W8 animation during the Windows load) and then finally the login prompt. Normally when the keyboard doesn't work it's just dirty contacts and gunk in that slot the keyboard magnets snap to. Try cleaning that all up and also try an external keyboard. If it doesn't get all the way through POST and the Windows startup, where does it fail?
