The webcam on my Nitro 5 AN515-52 stopped working a while ago and no solution was proposed in this thread (and several other threads posted here):

It would appear that the USB controller simply doesn't recognise it:

As far as I can remember, the camera worked fine when the laptop was purchased, but broke after some Windows 10 update, possibly Windows 10 2004 (May 2020).
As of yet I believe that the only possible workaround is a factory reset to pre-Windows 10 2004 (May 2020), which of course poses a major security risk.
