My laptop has a slight protrusion. See picture. Can I get a warranty repair? I've noticed that a small touch on the computer case allows the fan to sound either louder or quieter.

(the photo taken from the internet and my keyboard looks a little different)

Is the warranty still available after increasing the RAM? I recently increased it from 8GB to 16GB.

The slight protrusion isn't visible in your photo. However, putting any kind of pressure on the case, keyboard or touchpad --- or setting the laptop on different surfaces ---- is likely to cause natural vibrational dampening or enhancement of the fan blade frequencies. This is physics. A natural phenomenon. Not a physical defect. As long as you didn't break or tear any tamper seals or tape over any screws or case parts, the warranty should still be valid. But I doubt your system needs warranty service if it's otherwise functioning OK

    Hi kri7,

No, Generally physical damages will not be covered under warranty.

I think if you started cs go or something like that, you noticed that the discrete video card does not work at 100% and does not give out high fps. I decided to deal with this issue. here is a link to my discussion. I hope I will find a solution and help not only myself but also all the owners of this "miracle"
