Why does my Nitro 5 laptop overheat when I play games and how can it be fixed?

If you imagine a laptop open and facing you, my Nitro 5 AN515-53-527H laptop overheats in the back-left part under the keyboard which is where I believe the GPU and CPU are located (I can provide pictures on exactly where it heats up). This usually only happens while playing games like League of Legends. It heats up so much that it almost hurts to touch. My fan was recently replaced and I have opened up my laptop to clean out any dust but nothing changed.
What can I do? Is there a way to send my laptop in for repairs even though my warranty has ended?
