Acer Aspire GX-781 Unable to Run After Pressing Power

Guys, need your help here. Urgent. 

My desktop Acer Aspire GX-781 is unable to run!!

I turned on power at power socket --> turn on power at the desktop --> all I am seeing is just blinking of red light and nothing is running. 

I opened up the desktop. The fan is not running too. 

I tried 30 seconds to do the bootup. 
I tried changing to another power socket. 

Nothing happens. 

Appreciate your advice on what need to be checked

problem solved - not exactly know how 

but tried to unplug everything and connect it to the direct power socket - instead of extension. 
placed it on the ground instead of on the table

now - managed to on.. phew

Darn it's a pain when you fix something without knowing why it worked... Let us know if it happens again.
