Hi, I have an Aspire Z24-890 that I opened to add additional RAM memory. It has an Intel Optane module installed in the nvme connection. The interesting thing is that the module is covered by a rubbery plastic piece (see attached picture). It is easily removed, not glued on or anything. Just out of curiosity, what is it for?  Heat sink? Won't it melt if the chip gets too hot? Electrical insulation? Thanks!

I believe it's just to ensure a little better thermal signature, spreading any heat buildup across the board.
