Is there any way of getting a SPIN3 to restart when it appears to have gone into a deep hibernation?

My 6 month old SPIN3 has usually been working well but sometimes it has been difficult to reboot from sleep mode. Today it will not boot at all, I have fully charged the unit and the blue power light comes on. The only sign of life is when I hold the power button down for about 40 seconds, then the blue light flashes once. The status light does not come on at all. I've tried the battery reset with the paperclip option and nothing happened. I'm running out of ideas and will have to return it soon. :/

    Hi Melon68,

Connect different charger and try to turn ON the unit.

Try the full battery reset if you haven't already, just clicking the reset button doesn't do it:
disconnect all peripherals and charger with the laptop shut down. Use something like a bent paperclip to press and hold the reset button for 15-30 seconds. Release the button and wait 15-30 minutes, plug the charger back in. Wait for the full battery indication then try to turn it on normally. If it comes up fine go ahead an reconnect your peripherals.
