[Predator ph317-53] - On screen lag + windows crash when playing with a external screen LG Ultragear

Good day,

Currently I'm on a predator ph317-53 (with win10). It's more than 2 years that i used it and i don’t have any problem of lag or problems of performance. Since 2 days, i change my setup to add a external screen (LG Ultragear27' gn800) and external keyboard (Roccat).

When I'm on desktop i don’t have any problems. But when I'm playing FPS like Rainbow Six Siege or Counter Strike, i have lags on screen (the screen and the sound skip as if there is a lag problem). Then after a time Windows crash. I reinstall Nvidia Geforce, and update my drivers without result.

I know that my LG screen 144hz is NVidia Gsync ready, maybe it's that the problem (i read that it can provoque this kind of problem). I'm also surprised to see my ingame stat regarding FPS : Normaly when I’m on my laptop i don’t go more than 144fps (because the screen have 144hz), but since i used my LG external screen my FPS go to more than 300FPS but my external screen is limited 144hz.

Hi splou,

# Try to get the BIOS page.

1. Turn OFF the unit.

​2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit. 
3. You will be in setup utility page. 
4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
7. Your unit will restart by itself.
