Hi,
I have Aspire E 14 E5-476G-71CG
Im planning to upgrade to SSD and my RAM.
https://uk.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/aspire-e5-476g#memory says that it's compatible to DDR4-2666 but Im concerned because the original RAM runs @ DDR4-2133 mHz. Please confirm if it's FULLY compatible with DDR4-2666.
Please also confirm if all the SSD listed on the said link is FULLY compatible as well.

Thanks!

    Hi,
Your CPU may support the RAM modules with frequency up to 2133MHz or 2400MHz, so the modules advertised by Crucial will work but downclock to 2133MHz, so I would suggest you buy DDR4 2133/2400MHz modules to upgrade the memory, as for the SSD query, yes, they are all compatible with your laptop.
Thanks for the response. Just one more clarification on the RAM modules. Is 2400MHz the maximum frequency it supports or just 2133MHz?
What if I buy 2 DDR-4 2400MHZ and replace the existing 2133MHz on my device, would it be the optimal choice? Or would it just downclock to 2133MHz?
No problem, yes, 2400MHz is the maximum frequency supported, if you install 2400MHz modules they will run at 2400MHz.

    Hi,

Below is screenshot of my Motherboard specs. It says I have PCI-Express 3.0 bus. Im not really sure if

Crucial MX500 250GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 inch 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal SSD is compatible with my laptop. I guess my question is does it matter if I buy a SATA vs PCIE and a 2.5 inch vs M.2

    Hi,
There won't be any huge difference between them, SATA 2.5" SSD and M.2 SATA SSDs will function at same speed, you will not notice big difference between M.2 SATA SSD and M.2 NVMe SSD under normal working conditions, if you transfer large files often you will benefit by installing a M.2 NVMe SSD.
