Hi. I am looking to buy a new spin 5 - never bought ACER before - whats your experience of customer support like? I'm looking for peace of mind and considering the onsite repair option as an extra if anything goes wrong but looking at small print there's no timeframe given for a callout which worries me... as a uni student cant afford to be without a machine for long.  have previously bought Dell - never again and just awful experience of support / non existent help / being sent in circles.....

Different locales provide different experiences so it's tough to get a good picture on how well it would work for you. This venue can often be a great resource for resolving issues, and for deciding when it's most appropriate to turn things over to Acer support. Which country are you in?

thanks for replying - I'm UK based - have taken the plunge and bought a sp513-55N - was surprised to find it supplied with a USB and not DC charger - managed to get through to tech support quite quickly which is a good sign - they dont know why but fingers crossed I can be sent a dc charger soon.

Yeah, the SP513-55N should have come with a 65W charger with the 3mm barrel connector. Had the box been opened? Maybe they are going with a USB-C in the newer SKUs. My 10th gen (so a year older than yours) has the barrel connector type.
