I have an Acer a315-55g-5851. The problem is when I installed the recommended "crucial" Ram to upgrade, my laptop won't boot. I also tried different brands with same 2667 MHz but still don't boot.

Most of the times, computer will not start properly if the ram is not installed properly or if we are using a incompatible ram.

Try to start the computer only with the old ram.   Check whether it is working fine.   Then try to add the new ram and check..    Sometimes reseating the ram will help.    If there is a extra slot, try to add the ram on a different slot.

After adding the ram, try to do bios defaults

While turning on the computer, tap f2. It  will go to bios. Press f9  once. It will show load bios defaults with a yes or no popup. Press enter. Popup screen will disappear.  Press f10 once. It will show save changes popup with yes or no. Press enter. Computer will restart and it will load into windows.

    Hi SAXMAN,

    Try to do power drain,

    1. Shutdown the unit.
    2. Unplug the cables connected to the unit.
    3. At bottom of the unit there will be a small tiny pin hole with a battery symbol close to it. Take a pin or a paper clip insert into it you feels like pressing a button hold it for 20-30 seconds.
