After adding the internal hdd, you can go to bios and check the info there.    People use to use jumper settings  to make it as primary master, primary slave, secondary master  and secondary slave earlier on old computers.   They also used to connect 4 hard disk drive by using 2 data cables.    Now it is not required.    You can just connect it and start using it.

    Hi,
Yes, you can install a 1TB HDD, just install and use it for storage, you don't have to do any adjustments.

Also, you are not limited by any size... You can add a 1TB HDD, a 2TB, a 4TB, ... I believe the largest right now is a 12TB but that will get bigger as time goes on. :)

I have fitted a WD Blue 4TB 3.5" SATA 6 Desktop Hard Drive in my PC in the bios it is visible but not visible in windows as a new driver. is it compatible with my PC or I just wasted money on it? Or does it need a separate power cable?

You need to use Window's "Disk Management" tool and "Initialize" the disk before Windows will see your new HDD.

Is the new disk showing up in device manager?
