Hello,
Acer Predator Helios 300 Whenever i leave my laptop at idle the temps are normal at 40 C but after 10-15 mins of no use the temps start risings and reaches around 70-80C also fans go crazy at 4000rpm. I updated all the drivers to latest versions but couldnt fix. Also Laptop power option switches automatically from balanced to high performance.
I have tried researching a lot and i dont think its a thermal paste issue cuz cooling while gaming and normal working is good. Also i cleaned the fans recently.
Let me know how i can fix this.

Open task manager and see what processes or apps are running in the background that are  consuming so much CPU usage. Do you have a non-Microsoft virus scanner running. If so, get rid of it, don't just disable it. Most folks only need Microsoft Defender or MalciousSoftwareRemovalTool which are updated regularly.
