So randomly today after playing a bunch of games on it and it worked fine my Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop - PH315-53-78XB(NH.QATAA.001)'s screen has gone black. I didn't move the labtop at all and it just all of sudden is black now. It doesn't even show the predator logo on startup went i turn my computer on. I just don't get how this happened out of no where especially if its a hardware issue. I have tried so many fixes like disconnecting the internal battery, disconnected the CMOS battery and even tried refitting my ram sticks. Nothing seems to be working if anyone is able to help me that would be great i just had to get my pc repaired and it took a month and i have had this replacement for 3 weeks and its already shitting the bed. If anyone has a fix i would love you forever. Also if you need any extra info from me id be happy to provide it.

If you shine as bight a light as possible though the logo on the back, or pointing up from the bottom can you see content on the screen?

And on the external screen, can it "see" the other one?

The first thing is to check for a failed backlight, the second is a failed screen :)

    Hi Cuozzo13,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.
