Acer Aspire 3 A315-52-51UD
Intel core i5-7200U 2.5GHz with Turbo; Intel HD graphics; 8 GB memory

There are 7 listings of BIOS updates available on Acer sit:
1. Update CPU Microcode KBL-U -0070, SKL-U OOBE            Version 1.05 2017/12/06
2. Update Intel ME Firmware to 11.8.50.339                 Version 1.06 2018/02/07
3. Change CPU Microcode                                    Version 1.08 2018/04/03
4. 1.Update CPU code base 2.support Optane Memory          Version 1.11 2018/05/08
5. UPDATE SMBIOS CODE                                      Version 1.12 2018/05/24
6. Update Intel ME Firmware to 11.8.55.3510                Version 1.13 2018/09/19
7. Update Intel ME CPU Microcode KBL-U 009A, SKL-U OOC6.   Version 1.14 2019/03/29

System is currently Version 1.06. Considering "at your own risk warning" I would
like more detailed information. I understand most BIOS updates are cumulative but
some of these are firmware - so should I do no. 6 and then no. 7?  Any prior to
these that should be installed in sequence before doing 6 and/or 7? Thanks RMTA

    Rules of thumb.
    .
    (1) Don't apply firmware updates unless they address a seriously annoying or disabling issue that your machine is exhibiting and that the firmware update clearly describes. Readily available firmware descriptions are often vague and/or poorly written even in service manuals. The code is usually closely guarded by ACER & InsydeSoftware.

    (2) The latest firmware update should (but doesn't always) include earlier updates.

    (3) Generally, because of the risks of bricking or undesireable side effects, and irreversibility, BIOS firmware updates should not be casually installed like Windows driver updates.
