Hi I’ve had the Acer Predator Helios 2019 (blue one) for about two years now and it’s randomly shutting down like a lot of other Acers. I’m quite sure the spring loaded switch not being pressed tight enough is the problem. The only issue is that I can’t find where the switch is inside my computer. All the fixes for the problem are with the older red Predator laptop and the backside of mine looks very different. Does anyone know where this switch is located so I can potentially try fixing my laptop?

    Hi Unidentified839,

I think you are asking for a reset pin hole. In predator it will not be there. So try to update the battery driver,

    1. Hold windows key and hit letter X.
    2. Choose the device manager option.
    3. Go with the option battery.
    4. Under the title battery.
Update Battery Drivers in Windows EASILY - Driver Easy
    5. Right click on that option ----> Update all driver under the title battery.
    6. Choose "search automatically".

Check this T/S and post the result.

Hi, I’m not, I’m referencing this thread. This user had the same problem but it was answered by finding the spring-loaded switch answered by JackE here: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/567523/acer-predator-15-g9-591-70vm-not-turning-on-how-can-i-resolve-this/p1

I can’t seem to find it on my model.
