Hi. I just bought a 16GB 2666Mhz PNY ram. After installing it, my laptop won't boot up. The light is on, and the fan is running but the screen isn't.
It works fine if I take out the RAM. What should I do?

Hi,
You can install up to 8GB in the slot available to make the total memory of 12GB(4GB onboard+8GB), 16GB module will not work, so I would suggest you return the 16GB module and get a 8GB 2400MHz module.

By the way, 8GB 2666Mhz will do, yes?

Hi,
Yes, 2666MHz module might work but I couldn't find anyone installed a 2666MHz module.

Hi again! My 8GB 2400Mhz RAM just arrived and it worked. I can see a huge difference in performance after the upgrade, but I wish to install the 16GB module.
