Remove Raid0 from Helios 700

Hello.

I am about to buy Helios 700, but as i see it has  2TB SSD NVMe (RAID 0)...

Would there be a way for me to remove the raid and have 2 separate disks with 1 TB each? I don't care if i'll lose some information, since i'll install fresh OS after that...

thanks

Ok.... What i did to fix the issue.

In Bios, when on main i've pressed CTRL + S to unlock the drives setUp and changed from Raid to AHCI. Then windows was able to find the disks and i have initially installed windows from the USB that came with my license, but it seems that i was old version and the computer was freezing after windows instalation.

I have downloaded the latest instalation from Microsoft's webSite and made a new bootable USB and installed from it. I was able to make partitions and so on..

    Everything is working now.

So eventually what i needed was somebody to tell me that i can show a hidden menu in the BIOS to change from Raid 0 to AHCI...

  • there is a way. However, if windows is installed on some of the drives that work on raid 0, make the backup first:

Now, on your question, you can remove the raid, using a windows 10 iso. During windows installation, press shift + f10 and type these commands:
    diskpart
    list vol
    sel vol x
    clean

Hey thanks  a lot. Anyway i won't be installing any SSD's as the laptop will come with them. I just want to remove the Raid0.

    Will try that out.

It doesn't let me Clean partition that's bootable and have Windows installed in it... I have tried with the Intel Rapid Storate, but i can't access the menu from the boot with the CTRL + i..

Any other thoughts? Why does Acer add these Raid0 i don't get it. If i want to have Raid0 i will add it my self.. I just want to have 2 separate disk drives... it's so weird
