Acer chromebook display won't mirrow after connecting HDMI to TV, hot key ctrl + display useless

    Same problem. I've tried all the solutions suggested above, checked Chromebook settings for enabled mirroring, HDMI selected on TV, tried different TVs, different HDMI cords, tried the unplugging the HDMI cords and then TV for 10 min. Everything but the powerwashing to go back to factory settings. Since another user who tried that said above that it didn't work, I'd rather avoid redoing the setup and whatever user adjustments I've made. Looking around the web and here, looks like this problem is widespread.
