How much does it cost to replace or repair Screen on gaming Monitor? Acer XG270HU

Hello I have  an Acer XG270HU and need the screen repaired or replaced. From what I can tell the screen/LCD needs to actually be replaced. My question is how much would it most likely cost to get acer to repair it. Has anyone ever sent in a monitor for repair and how much did it cost? I already sent a request for repair in but should I even pay to ship it if the cost of repair is the same price as a new monitor? Also is there any way for me to purchase a new display and install it my self. all replies are greatly appreciated
