Voice Chat issues Predator Orion 3000

A week ago I received my new Predator Orion 3000 desktop pc. Everything seems to be working fine, except for voice chat. I can hear everyone else chatting in game but they can't hear me. Same problem when I use Zoom but when using Skype, it doesn't seem to recognize my headset at all.  

I have followed all the troubleshooting guides and I have tried with different headsets, which are all compatible with PC. Still no fix. 

I have reached out to Acer Support, who haven't been responsive and when they do, its generic and unhelpful advice. 

I suspect there might be a setting buried somewhere in the system that I need to change - but I cant find it.

I really hope someone can help or suggest a better setup.

In the sounds menu disable all the inputs you are not using, usually it's just using the wrong input
