Hello, I have been having a frustrating problem with my Acer Nitro AN515-53 shutting down with games such as Roblox steam games etc It is not a battery problem and I am doubting it's overheating since it's a gaming its meant to go for quite a temperature it has been around 80-90 degrees even playing Roblox too, I have yet to do a solution to look inside the machine I have checked event viewer and I have gotten something that might be connected with it which is error 6008 if it's actually a CPU temperature problem should I add CPU paste? This laptop has been used before and not sure previous owner has done any of that, or is it a simple clean for the fans? So far I have been noting it down it happens mostly around 11 AM to 12 PM and when the shutdown happens it's a black screen, and when trying to turn on again it will not turn on until it's charging or wait awhile when it's not plugged in as it only can turn on right away when plugged in with a charger. It also wasn't this frequent it used to do it about twice a month to once a week to almost everyday.

In the XML view or before / after does it say what process is forcing the machine to turn off? It does sound a bit like the thermal protection kicking in which could be the "external program" which is requesting the poweroff

Are you saying I should check the XML viewer and post my logs in that to see if I get a result?

    Hi Domstroof,

Take back up of the data. And try to do reset.

    # Reset the unit, (It will remove all the data--->Unit goes to Day 1 of default version)

    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold Alt+F10 keys(without releasing the keys) ---> Trun ON the unit.
    3. You will get a blue screen(Title Choose an option). (Release the keys)
    4. Click troubleshoot option.
    5. Click on Reset this PC.
    6. Go with the option (Keep my files/Remove every thing)
    7. Then follow the on screen instruction.

Check this T/S and post the result.

I have my doubts that it may work, I have not heard of a solution to it in this way of matter, I have a bunch of games and files as well as apps I need such as add blocker.

I think the forum broke the XML! You can use snipping tool to take snaps :)

Huh it wasn't a mistake there is just nothing there . Is there any events either side of it?

Nothing else that has a unusual errors in event viewer, mainly warnings are 10016 and a error thats 10010 that doesn't seem concerning that doesn't connect with shutting off. I had a error ID of 20 as well but I am up to date.

Although my laptop has yet to do a force shut down it said at 1:35 PM today I got the 6008 error but it hasn't happened yet.
