I have been searching for days till I got here, I'm having the exact same issue with my Predator 15 G9 593 with a Nvidia GTX 1060

I noticed that my BIOS was outdated so I updated to 1.14 from the ACER drivers page.

Were you able to solve the problem? and if so, how did you do it?

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Restart your laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Try restarting your laptop and see if the freezing issue persists.

Update drivers manually: Instead of relying on automated driver update tools, try manually updating the drivers. Visit the manufacturer's website for your laptop and locate the latest drivers specifically designed for your model. Download and install them one by one, restarting your laptop after each installation. Start with essential drivers like chipsets, graphics, and network drivers.

Uninstall and reinstall drivers: If updating the drivers doesn't help, you can try uninstalling the problematic drivers and then reinstalling them. Open the Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start menu and selecting "Device Manager." Locate the device with the problematic driver, right-click on it, and select "Uninstall device." Once uninstalled, restart your laptop and let Windows automatically reinstall the driver.

Use Safe Mode: Boot your laptop into Safe Mode to perform the driver update. Safe Mode loads only the essential drivers and services, which can help isolate and fix the issue. To enter Safe Mode, restart your laptop and repeatedly press the F8 or Shift+F8 key before the Windows logo appears. From the Advanced Boot Options menu, select Safe Mode and proceed with the driver update.

System Restore: If the freezing issue started after a recent driver update, you can try performing a System Restore to revert your laptop's settings to a previous point in time. This process will undo any recent system changes, including driver updates. Search for "System Restore" in the Windows search bar and follow the on-screen instructions to initiate the process.

Contact support: If none of the above steps resolve the freezing issue, it's advisable to contact Acer's customer support or the manufacturer of your laptop. They can provide specific guidance and assistance in troubleshooting the problem or recommend any hardware-related solutions if necessary.
Remember to back up your important files before attempting any major changes to your system.
