    Hi,
You have PCIe Gen 3 motherboard, 980 Pro may work but the speed will be restricted to Gen 3.

Hello! I own a Predator Helios 300 PH315-53 NHQ7YET002. This morning I called the telephone support to clarify this detail regarding the PCI-EX Gen and they answered 4.0 I have to think that the answer was not truthful ???

    Hi,
They may have misquoted the lanes available for PCIe, according to service manual it has a PCIe Gen3.

The Predator PH315-53 specs for its Solid-State Drive is PCIe Gen.3x and 4x and Fast Data Transfer Rate (Mbits/sec, max) of 8Gbits/s and comes OEM from Acer with a 1TB M.2 SSD drive so the PCIe 4x will work and will fully support the Samsung 980 PRO PCle 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD of 1TB but with a 2TB and over it has to be with a GUID Partition Table (GPT) format only, as anything above 2TB a Master Boot Record (MBR) format will not work in Windows.

I don't think your PC's 10th generation CPU  can fully support SAMSUNG 980 Pro. Yes, you can use it. Like @brummyfan2 said, the speed will be Gen 3.0 speed, that is, up to 3,400 MB/s , not the PCIe 4.0 x4 speed at 7,000 MB/s.
Need an 11th generation CPU matching with PCIe 4.0 motherboard to take advantage of the full speed of 7,000 MB/s.
