In the task manager it shows speed of 2133  ??.  I have been unable to find another source in the Acer Predator sense or Care center programs of the actual speed

    Hi,
Could you please download and install CPU-z, run it and post the pictures of Memory and SPD tab for all slots where you have installed RAM modules.

That is correct, that Kingston ram (IIRC) only supports faster than 2133MHz when it's overclocked with XMP. You really want normal memory, not XMP memory. You want 2666, which is what the motherboard and chipset support. Buying faster doesn't gain you anything because it'll still run at the chipset speed.

Normally the speed shown on Task Manager is correct. You may have RAM sticks of higher spec. but there may be speed limits that the CPU and the motherboard can handle.

CPU-Z will tell you. There is some info on the motherboard itself as well.

What CPU and what RAM do you have? 8 + 8Gb or 8 + 4Gb? If your Task Manager tells you that RAM is running at 2133MHz, please check in which slots your RAM sticks are. At least on the one I had (8+8) showed 2666MHz.

You replaced the original Kingston RAM with Corsair? Were you after more capacity, if you had less than 16Gb, or faster speed? My guess is speed. Do you happen to remember whether Kingston run at DDR4-2666 or 2993MHz?

Let me see if get this right. Anyone, please do correct me if I am wrong.

i7-10700 supports at max. DDR4-2993 on a board that doesn't support RAM overclocking.
    i5-10400F maxes out at 2666.
In case of i7 I find it quite funny that the chipset wouldn't support 2993. The i5 I do get as it is the limiting factor.

OP, I don't know what exact RAM you bought. but looks like the RAM has a Default (some manufacturers call it Plug n Play or SPD) speed of 2133Mz at 1.2v. Since Acer's BIOS doesn't support XMP profiles it reverts back to 2133MHz at 1.2 volts. If I were you, I'd return the RAM and use the original ones.

The two Corsair Vengeance 3200 MHz DDR4 8GB were a gift, they look awesome installed in red with the blue background, the system is running very smooth with them.  I guess will keep them even at a slower speed, the use I have for this computer will not required very fast ram speeds.  Thank you all for your help understanding  the Ram in this Predator

Glad we could help and sorry it wasn't better news. I tend to think they are doing deceptive advertising with their so called speeds... When you read the fine print you see the base speed is much, much slower than the advertised speed. :(
