Battery seems to be in decent shape. Open ControlPanel. Search 'power plan' . Click 'edit power plan' in left pane. If power plan is in balanced or performance mode, click change advanced power settings. Click processor power mgt. Click max power state. Set both on battery and plugged in to 100%. Jack E/NJ
I have tried this too and it did not fix it. I am beginning to think this is a processor issue right from the manufacturer. This is too bad! Most times when I unplug my laptop I will not be able to do any reasonable thing with it. I mean this is a laptop that can go from editing photos to video editing when plugged in. When it is unplugged, it begins to lag baddddly. Even rebooting will not get it back to normal.

Please post a screenshot of maximum power state settings in the advanced power settings box. Your CPU is fine if it works OK plugged in. Something's either wrong with the unplugged settings or the battery itself. Jack E/NJ
