Pressing button doesn't immediately turn on Aspire E 15 laptop

For some reason, I have to press and hold the power button continuously for about 3 minutes before the Aspire E 15 turns on. This typically happens if I had shutdown previous night, or closed the  laptop for extended period. Its on Windows 10, 64 bit. Is there a permanent fix for this?

Appreciate any insight into this?
Thanks

Shut down Windows normally. Remove the charger. Press a paperclip into the reset pinhole on the bottom for 60 seconds. Then plug the charger back in. Wait for the battery charge LED to turn from solid orange to solid blue. Then turn the machine on again by briefly depressing the power button.
