Hello everybody, hope you all have a good day

Model: PT315-51

Part Number: NHQ6DSN001

Yesterday I'm chilling with my laptop then suddenly it started making some loud buzzing noises in my laptop, when I checked at the Predator Sense the GPU RPM fan number is different than the CPU fan and I didn't use custom. I chose to ignore since it functionally work again, but I was wrong it became worsen the GPU fan turned to zero and started making annoying noise again after 1 minute use. I used to playing or casually browsing every day with a fan turbo max setting because I felt it started getting hot whenever it's in idle or not. Not only that, but I already have hot temps since 4 months ago. Furthermore, I have max fan setting and a $10 cooling pad without repasting CPU. Maybe I should have brought my laptop to Acer service sooner? I have mine collecting dust, so I thought that's the problem but maybe the worse case scenario I have to replace my GPU fan.

Under heavy load it is recommended to run fans on max to keep the temps down. But in your case, heating at idle is not a good sign. It could be due to too much dust buildup or dried paste or poor ventilation(like using the laptop on a bed or couch). Running the fans on max all the time isn't a great idea because of wear and tear on the fan. So in your case you have to take it to acer and most likely you may have to replace the fan. Be sure to clean dust and change the paste every year, that way your laptop won't be prone to such problems.
