Nitro N50-610 super noisy PSU out of the box

My N50 came with a super noisy PSU out of the box. Support wants me to ship it back on my dime and I'd rather use that money to upgrade the PSU + not have weeks of down time.
I've ordered 2 different semi-modular PSUs, one from Corsair, one from Rosewill.
Neither will boot the system.
Since the Acer mobo doesn't have a standard 12-pin ATX connector, instead has a 6-pin and 2x 4-pin, I'm not sure if I'm connecting things incorrectly, have the wrong type of PSU or what.
I thought PSUs were pretty standard, but it's been years since I've built a PC so my knowledge of standards is out of date.
Any help is appreciated.

    I meant 20/24-pin connector, not "12-pin"
Mixed up pins and volts. Haha
So is this Acer PSU not ATX.. Is it EPS or something?
    TIA again!

Hey, just a quick reminder ; Acer has used proprietary parts when it comes to the PSU connection - instead of it being a 24pin standard like normal PSU's, it has a 6-pin. I recommend buying an adapter and hopefully it'll fix your issues, as it goes straight from a 24 to 6 pin connection. Hope it helped!

^^This adapter is meant for Dell, but it offers the same solution as it does for Acer. Hope I could help!!😁
