Why is my new laptop all of a sudden not holding its charge? Nitro 5

Bought the Nitro 5 at the beginning of this year, with the specs of i7-10750H, RTX 2060 and 16GB ram. Everything was running smoothly and it kept its charge until one day out of the blue my game, Dead By Daylight, was completely unplayable with it lagging so severely, even on lower graphics, it seemed like my laptop was having trouble (this is all while plugged into the charger, so that wouldn't be the problem). I hoped into minecraft and encountered the same issue. As I'm still in school, I'm having to take it with me but even on power saving mode, its estimated life is never higher than 100% on full charger. Ended up factory resetting it to discover that made no difference at all. After taking it to the IT people from my school, they believe it to be a battery issue but is there anything I would have done in 3 months of owning it to let it end up like this?

To check if its the battery could you run in cmd:
    powercfg /batteryreport

This will output a HTML file which tells you the battery health.

When in a game, if you open task manager which GPU does it show as being used?
