Acer Predator Orion 3000 desktop is Constantly pushing 80 to 90`c is this normal?

I've been looking at forms all night and am currently at my wits end, my Orion 3000 P03 620 came the other day and seemed to be fine but then i noticed the fans were going wild constantly. Ive updated the BIOs and since then its been hitting worrying temperatures. The only game i play is Total war warhammer which i understand is a software intensive game but my last Pc, an Intel i5 with 8gb ram could run without any temperature issues at all. Whereas this I7 10700k 16gb ram is pushing just under 88`c after 20 minutes of game time and I'm getting worried I'm about to break something. Is there anything i could reasonably do to fix this or is this a reasonably safe temperature? I'm considering having the fans on full blast instead of auto but i just dont know if that would help at all. I got a prebuilt Pc because i genuinely cannot even slightly modify pcs and so far the only thing i can find is people saying to remove thermal paste and remove a moba (dunno what that even is lol) in order to get a fan on it.

The temps sound a bit high, but they are still within the specs. But of course the hotter the components are, the faster the fans spin and louder the noise gets. You can run the fans at full speed if you want. This will not cause any other problems than unbearable noise.

What resolution and FPS are you playing at? If your monitor or TV can do only 60 or 75Hz, there's no need to render more frames that that. By limiting FPS to your display's max. supported refresh rate would make your CPU and GPU work less and possible lower temps a bit. (Why push 200FPS when you can only see a lot less?) You can do this in the game, but also in nvidia control panel under

Manage 3D settings, Global Settings, Max Frame Rate.

I'm not familiar with that game, but one way to lower the temp is to lower how the CPU boosts. Try lowering the "Maximum Processor State to 99" (Google it). This small change make your CPU work cooler at the expense of some performance. You need to check if the performance hit is too much, but I suppose that depending on the resolution and target FPS (esp. 1080p/1440p@60) you would still max out the max. supported framerate.

For anyone searching around these days for the best replacement heatsink and fan for the i5 or i7 systems, I came across this one. I ordered it but have not installed it yet, however, it is designed to fit LGA11XX which is the same as LGA1200 for the screw holes on the boards. I'll update the post when I do this eventually, but something to consider for those looking.

Because they designed this heat-sink to work on many models with their mounting kit which requires to pull the system apart and put in a new plate, I have not had the time to pull the system apart yet to confirm everything, but do not pay attention to the Amazon sizes listed for these. In the pics, you see the true size of it, by clicking on one of the actual images to bring it up in a popup window, there is the actual size listed there. Even appears that you will be able to have all RAM sticks in with this one. Below is vid and below that's the amazon listing. For 50$ total Canadian, it's a steal!

The installation of Noctua is noob-proof, and I'm a noob. I got 20-25 degrees less in temp under stress now.

I'm not sure what else to ask from a cpu cooler. And I'm not sure it's even worth the effort trying to install other coolers that require unmounted motherboard. Noctua is literally 4 screws and thermal paste. Job done.

Voiding the warranty? Oh yes! But you can install the stock cooler and no one will notice it, imho.

I installed th Zalman and I am down to 28-31 with odd spike of 34 on idle and down to 55-58 under extreme loads after the CPU hits 72, it kicks in the FAN and then runs below 60 with this thing. All I had to do was make the holes a little bigger on the Zalman mounting kit for the post to fit inside the bottom posts. The screws provided fit into the back plate posts already install in this system. I have the 11400 myself. What I like about this cooler, is the higher the voltages, the better it performs. Bench tests showed this thing to cool better than a coolmaster water cooler. lol I paid 50$ CDN.

That extreme load is HeavyLoad running fo5 15 minutes. Gaming, it stays around 51-53 on average, but does spike here and there to 60's with really intensive games. Mostly on VR myself.

Done! See my post about me only needing to make the bottom of the holes on the mounting plate a little wider to fit over the existing back plate posts. Just a drill bit and a little time. Was worth it for me! Just be sure to not go more than half the depth when making the holes bigger to fit over the posts. But if you do, washers would fix that mistake. Just don't go too wide! The cooler is performing like a champ!

I apologize if it seemed premature for the posts, but I knew it would fit, was just not sure of how I would need to do the job. I had a feeling I would be able to stabilize it even more with the current posts, but needed to confirm that, A lot of people will read around for suggestions but may not create an account to post to the threads. I know what I posted earlier was premature, but I wanted to at least let those people know of the better option out there right now. Me as an IT professional would have never ordered a prebuilt system in the past, but with video card shortages these days, getting this one from Costco for 1599 was the best option for me right now. An extra 50$ and now I have a machine that would have cost me around the same, maybe 200$ less to build myself and temp issues are gone without modifying the case at all. I also set fan curves for the GPU and that stays at 60-78 with the hot spot spiking to 85 max. Use MSI Afterburner for that.
