Predator 17 motherboard issue - G5-793

Hi everyone. I've bought a Predator 17 (G5-793) with a broken motherboard which couldn't be fixed. I thought about swapping the motherboard but the used ones are over 700$ except one from a G9-793 for 400$. Judging from the pictures they are the same but I want to hear what the community thinks. Are they interchangeable? I've read somewhere that the only difference is the presence of a subwoofer in the G9-793 which the G5-793 doesn't have but the laptop case is the same for both models. The Predator 17 (G5-793) and the Predator G9-793 are both the same dimensions; Length 423 mm x Width 321.5 mm x Height 39.7 mm and all their plugs are the same, so the mainboard should be interchangeable, the only difference is that the Predator G9-793 has an Operating current of 11.8A(Max) while the Predator 17 (G5-793) Operating current of 9.23A(Max).
