Brand new Acer AN515-55 running really hot when I play planet zoo

Hi,

I need some help please,

I recently got a brand new Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55 15.6, 8GB ram, GTX 1660 Ti and an i5 processor. 

I only play sims 4 and planet zoo (on medium/low) and it gets so hot, after a few hours of running PZ the game starts to slow right down and stutter. 

I would expect the laptop to be able to handle this game and I am not sure why it is working so hard. I have played around with the graphic settings and other things to try and see if it helps, but still after a few hours I get the stutter. it is not unplayable, but annoying and I would like to be able to enjoy the game without having to restart it every few hours. 

any help is appreciated, please bare in mind I am not tech savvy!

Which temps is it reaching? Is the notebook shutting down?
