I’ve recently purchased a Spin 3 and had set it up ok with fingerprint recognition working fine. I updated windows 10 last week with release 2H20 and now the fingerprint button doesn’t work. I’ve reset the system so that I can start again but when I initiate the set up process for fingerprint recognition and windows asks me to slide my finger over the sensor nothing happens. Has anyone else had this problem?  Any suggestion would be welcomed.

Spoke to Microsoft who were very helpful.  Ended up being a corrupt biometric driver. Uninstalled driver and restarted laptop and problem fixed.

I am having the same issue after the latest Windows 10 update. Should I Uninstall Device (in Device Manager) for the fingerprint reader?

I went ahead and uninstalled the fingerprint reader then reinstalled. It worked. It was the Windows update that somehow corrupted the driver. THANK YOU MICROSOFT for wasting two hours of my time and energy!!

If you press the Windows key and then type "system information" followed by the enter key a program will load that shows your model number under the heading "System Model".
