Hello, This is the first maintenance that I will do to the laptop after 3 years of having bought it, I know that thermal PASTE should be placed on the CPU and thermal PADS on the GPU, but I don't know the thickness of the thermal PADS, 0.5mm or 1.0mm or 1.5m? And do the SSD and RAM need thermal paste?

Predator Helios 300 15.9" GTX GeForce 1060 (2018)
Model: G3-571

- CPU: Thermal PASTE Arctic Mx 4
- GPU: Thermal PADS Arctic 0.5mm or 1.0mm or 1.5m?
- VRAM: Thermal PADS Arctic 0.5mm or 1.0mm or 1.5m?
- SSD: Do it need thermal pads?
- RAM: Do it need thermal pads?
- Is there another place where I should apply thermal PASTE or thermal PADS?

I beg your help please.

Thanks very much!

    Thermal pads can be of 1mm. Thermal Paste/Grease (30 X 30 mm)
not needed on ssd or ram. It can be of any brand paste.

Best Thermal Pad for CPU GPU RAM VRM Laptop Chipset IC

You have this module on your laptop.

In my opinion don’t worry about thermal pads, thermal pads don’t have the range and chemical construction variability that paste does as you can’t purchase the top thermal pastes in pads e.g. the NEW Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme is not made into pads which is one of the best and the maximum thermal conductivity paste out there and only needs a thin minimum layer and is designed for high temp lubrication to assist the shielding of the cpu/gpu of Water Cooling, Air Cooling, Overclocking and long-term durability. A cpu/gpu paste is much more wide and varied and you are not restricted like with pads, as its adaptable and more efficient than a thermal pad overall.
