My Bios was 1.03 and I was not able to get Bios to detect my new SSD M2 drive. So I went to the Acer website and downloaded to a USB all the Bios available up to 1.14. I flashed each one in sequence with no issues. But after flashing 1.12 I can't get past the Acer Logo with the spinning dots preparing to boot. I am using Win10 64 bit. I can still go to see my Bios and it shows 1.12. I have tried booting with Secure Boot Enabled and with it Disabled.

    Hi runtrails,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    2. You will be in setup utility page.
    3. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    4. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    5. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.

    Regards,

A couple of things... You don't need to flash the intermediate BIOS versions, just the latest. So for your system you would just do 1.15. Also you don't need to put them on a USB drive, it's safer to run them directly from your system drive so you don't have to deal with potential USB data corruption. I typically do that from the downloads folder, because that's where the end up by default. Now, since you are seeing the juggling balls it's past the BIOS and into the Windows load before the hangup. George's suggestion will work if it's a BIOS setting that's not right, but if it doesn't get it then the next step is to run the Windows diagnostics. Try aborting the Windows load three times in a row by going to the point where the balls are doing their juggle, waiting to make sure it's not going to continue, then power it down with the power button held for a few seconds. The third time Windows will automatically boot your into their diagnostics. Try a Startup Repair from there...
